European Union Business Compliance

One of the tasks of Parallels Customer and Business Manager is to charge customers for using web hosting services - websites, servers, and applications. In terms of the European Union (EU) taxonomy, these services are called services supplied electronically and they are subject to the European Union Value Added Tax (EU VAT) regulations.

EU VAT is a consumption tax that depends on supplier and customer location thereby determining which EU country collects the VAT and what VAT rate is charged. If your business is located outside the EU, this tax is not applicable to your plans, and you can skip related Business Manager modifications. Otherwise, please read Achieving EU Business Compliance and configure Business Manager to comply with the EU requirements.

To learn more about EU VAT, refer to ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/taxation/vat/how_vat_works/index_en.htm.
