Configuring Administrator Account Lockout Policy

You are capable of improving the system security level by setting the maximum number of failed login attempts for administrator accounts. If the number is exceeded, an account is locked out for an adjustable period of time. Additionally, depending on the system configuration, the primary administrator (admin user), the account owner, or both receive e-mail notifications about the account lockout.

To update the administrator account lockout policy:

  1. Go to the Business Setup > All Settings > Authentication and Password Management (in the Security Settings group).
  2. Update the lockout policy settings and click OK.

Note: To view the lockout e-mails in Business Manager, go to Business Monitoring > Tasks.
