Chapter 2. User Interface
|
Only Administrator can add modules in the system.
Modules
can be managed on the Modules
page. Here is displayed the list of all modules installed in this Plesk system.
The Manage Modules icon will take you to
the page where you can add, view or remove a module or several
modules.
|
|
Names of the list elements and their number
concur with the modules buttons, i.e. one button and one list element
corresponds to one module.
You can add a module in Plesk with the help
of the Add Module icon. It provides access to the form of
uploading the file with the source code of the module. The module
distributive file represents either an RPM package for RPM-based Plesk,
or a self-extracting shell script for Standard Plesk. Packages with
modules can be provided with a digital signature.
A module can be removed in a standard way
by selecting it in the list and further clicking the Remove Selected button.
|
It should also be noted that modules can be
installed not only from a control panel but also from a command line.
At that, the registration of a module (i.e. the record about the
installed module in the Plesk database) should be performed by an
installation script.
The content of a module page is fully
determined by a module itself.
You
should not forget that if you change a Plesk
skin, this will not effect the appearance of the module pages.
