To set the Plesk Auto Updater for automatic updating
Open the Start menu -> All Programs -> SWsoft Plesk -> Configure Auto Updater. The Plesk Auto Updater Configuration page will open.
Select the checkbox next to Keep my server up to date. Until you select it the Settings and Send Notification sections will be disabled.
Choose the days and time for automatic updates from the Check for updates and at drop-down lists respectively.
Click the option you want:
Notify me before downloading any updates
On a set schedule when the Plesk Auto Updater finds updates on the download site that apply to your control panel, an e-mail message is sent to you notifying that new updates are found and ready to be downloaded.
Download the updates automatically and notify me when they are ready to be installed
On a set schedule Updater finds updates that apply to your control panel and downloads these updates in the background (you are not notified or interrupted during this process). After downloading is complete, an e-mail message is sent to you notifying that updates for your control panel are ready to be installed.
Download and install the updates automatically and notify me once they are downloaded and installed
On a set schedule Updater finds updates on the SWsoft, Inc. web site that apply to your control panel and downloads them automatically in the background (you are not notified or interrupted during this process). When downloading is complete, an e-mail message is sent to you. The Updater then installs the downloaded updates and notifies you again when installation is complete.
Fill in the following fields in the Send Notification section:
Type in the e-mail address where you'd like Plesk Auto Updater notification messages to be sent.
By default the e-mail of the following kind is set in this field:
autoupdater@ <hostname>
We recommend you to set another name in this field. You can, for example, change the default e-mail address to John Smith or even better to your own name. This should be done for your convenience, so that notification messages did not look suspicious and your mail client software could recognize them easily without trying to filter them.
By default The Plesk Auto Updater notification subject is set in this field. You may choose to change it if you like.
Review the information you entered.
Click Apply.
