Error Codes

This chapter presents all error codes that can appear, and their descriptions as well.

When a request packet arrives at Plesk API RPC server, it is validated, after which the requested operation performs. If any of these actions fail, Plesk sends back a response packet with an error code. For example:

The error code passed in the errcode node is described in the errtext node. At present, Plesk supports two sets of error codes:

• The complete set of error codes is supported by earlier versions of Plesk (prior to Plesk 8.0 for UNIX / Plesk 7.6 for Windows). It provides a detailed collection of error codes for each Plesk object (Client, Domain, DNS, etc.) . To learn more, refer to the Complete List of Error Codes section.
• Starting with versions 8.0 for UNIX / 7.6.1 for Windows, Plesk supports a reduced set of error codes. To learn more about the reduced set of error codes, refer to the Reduced List of Error Codes section.
