Managing Scheduled Backup Tasks
Using the ATIS management module interface, you can schedule the creation of backup imaging tasks at specified time. The tasks will be performed by the ATIS application installed on your server. The current implementation of this feature in Plesk allows adding only one task for recurring backup.
To set up a recurrent backup:
- Click Server in the navigation pane.
- Click
Acronis True Image in the Services group. - Click
Scheduled Backup Settings. - Select the Enable recurring backup checkbox to activate the backup.
- Specify the Backup period and Backup time in the appropriate lists.
- Select the partitions for backup using the corresponding checkboxes in the Partitions for backup table.
- Select the compression level for ATI in the Compression level list.
- To enable incremental backups, select the Incremental backup checkbox. Acronis True Image allows creating incremental backups, when files added since the last backup are simply added to an old backup archive, thus eliminating the need to backup information, which was not changed.
- If required, enter the password and its confirmation in the corresponding fields to set password on the archive with backup.
- Select the location for the backup file.
- Enter the archive filename with full path in the appropriate field. File names and paths should be specified in the standard Windows notation (C:\folder1\folder2\filename.extension for local files and \\computer_name\path\filename.extension for network files).
- Click OK.
Note. If Network storage option was selected, you should supply correct login and password for the account on a remote machine.
To disable a recurrent backup:
- Click Server in the navigation pane.
- Click
Acronis True Image in the Services group. - Click
Scheduled Backup Settings. - Clear the Enable recurring backup checkbox to disable the backup.
After the scheduled task creation procedure is complete, the backup creation task will appear in the Configured backup task list.
