Managing Hosts

A host is a server used for sites publication. It is strongly recommended to learn the Requirements to Host section of this chapter before you start adding and managing hosts.

As administrator, your first host management operation is adding a new host to the list of hosts available for publishing SiteBuilder sites. After this, include this host into a Plan. Types of Plans and Plan management are described in the Managing Plans chapter later in the guide. After the host is included in Plan, this Plan is assigned to a user. The information regarding user management is contained in the Managing Users chapter later in this guide.

In SiteBuilder 3.0 for Unix/Linux, each host supports three modes of site publishing:

  1. Click Server on the navigation pane.
  2. In the System section of the Server Administration screen, click Hosts.

    The Hosts screen opens.
